Participant Information
This information should be read by all participants prior to undertaking a Group 314 program. Any questions should be directed to the Group 314 office.

| Initial Interview | An initial interview will be conducted for individuals or organisations before any commitments are made to a program. This is to ensure the correct program is selected and an appropriate learning & assessment strategy is determined. |
| Duration | The specific duration of programs will be discussed during the initial interview. If a program is not completed within a 12 month period the Managing Director of Group 314 will review the individual's progress and determine an appropriate course of action. |
| Learning Strategy | Learning pathways will be customised to meet individual needs and expectations. The general learning strategy will be determined during the initial interview. Learning strategies may include:

| Assessment Strategy | Assessment decisions are made based on evidence. Valuable assessment opportunities may present whilst operating 'on-the-job', Group 314 will utilise any such evidence you can supply. Specific evidence requirements are detailed in the assessment tool for each program. The facilitator will describe the evidence requirements and will judge whether substitute evidence is suitable. Participants are strongly encouraged to use evidence from real-life situations where possible.

| Recognition of Prior Learning | Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is incorporated into every program, it may be formally selected during the registration process, or it may be requested at any other stage. Facilitators will identify, where possible, any opportunities for RPL through the conduct of all programs. |
| Registration Process | Upon receipt of your Registration Group314 will:

| Facilitators | Group 314 facilitators all possess Certificate IV in Training & Assessment and have recent and credible experience within their fields of expertise. |
| Facilitator Interview | The facilitator interview is an entry interview for participants after registration. The aim of the interview is to ensure participants have realistic learning & assessment opportunities to complete the program. |
| Resources | A variety of resources will be provided to support the learning & assessment process, resources that may be offered to participants include:

| Pre-Requisites | Pre-requisites for programs will be discussed during the initial interview. |
| Special Learning Needs | Group 314 acknowledges that reasonable adjustment may be necessary in response to special language, literacy or numeracy needs. If you have special learning needs please discuss them with your facilitator. |
| Not Yet Competent Decisions | If participants are deemed Not Yet Competent (NYC) they will need to negotiate a learning pathway with their facilitator to achieve competency. |
| Appeals | Participants may appeal an assessment decision by requesting a review of the evidence or reassessment. If participants believe they have been unfairly treated, they may request another assessor. If not resolved, the grievance will be escalated to the Managing Director of Group 314. To formally appeal a decision, participants should send an email or letter to the Group 314 Managing Director stating their grievance and indicating whether a support person is preferred. |
| Documentation | Assessment evidence must be returned with a completed evaluation to the Group 314 office. Evidence can either be returned with the assessment tool, provided to the facilitator when completed or loaded direct to the participant's gbase account. |
| Certificates | Anyone assessed as competent will receive a nationally recognised Qualification or Statement of Attainment. Replacement certificates can be requested from the Group 314 office. |
| Risk Disclosure | The conduct of programs by Group 314 are inherently low risk, although in the conduct of workplace activities participants may be exposed to risks. Where activities are conducted in workplaces other than those of Group 314, Group 314 accepts no liability or responsibility for the health, safety or welfare of participants. |
| Media Release | Group 314 may use audio/visual devices to capture evidence of training & assessment programs. The use of such media will be in accordance with company and site specific requirements and will not used to misrepresent participants. By registering to complete a program with Group 314 you agree to release audio/visual media collected by Group 314 for the purpose of evidence gathering, quality assurance review and, in some instances, promotional material. |
| Responsibilities | The responsibilities of Group 314 in relation to learning & assessment are:

| Support | Group 314 will support all persons undertaking programs, all participants are encouraged to contact the Group 314 office, or their facilitator, if additional support is required. Welfare, guidance and couselling services are available through the facilitator (training & assessment matters) and the administration manager (administration and general matters). Reasonable adjustments will be made to ensure equity in assessment for all participants. In the case of a participant who has special needs in regards to language & literacy, the method of assessment will be adjusted to suit the requirements of the learner and the competency standard. |
